In the 1940's the shortage of fabric caused the popularity of the two piece suit know as a Victory or Utility suit. Women could mix and match skirts, blouses, and jackets for a new outfit everyday. Even after the war the suits remained popular due to its’ comfort and practicality.

This two piece dress and jacket are made with Rayon. It is a navy blue and white diamond all over print that creates continuity and flow. The sleeves on the dress are pleated and have a cool deco look. The jacket has a single button and cuffed sleeves. This dress is like a page out of a Dick Tracy cartoon.
