1950s - 1960s Stratton Wave Design Compact With Self Opening Inner Lid. This beautiful compact features a burgundy and black wave design in enamel inlayed in gold tone metal. Inner powder lid self opens when the user bends the lid of the mirror back to a certain point. This is a trademark invented designed mechanism that Stratton was famous for - A really collectible part of compact mirror history!
***Flaws to note: This compact is sold as-Is, main compact lid does not lock close. The clip locking it in is missing and needs to be replaced. There is a green oxidation on the metal inside of the compact. Mirror is slightly oxidized. (See photos).
