1920s Zig Zag Beaded Golden Brass Frame Chain Handle Purse. This beautiful purse features an array of sparkly metallic beads that are in the design of cascading zig zags. A quintessential example of art deco design. The purse frame is made from gold brass along with the chain handle. The clasp is a lever that pushes down and releases to open the bag, and snap it closed. The interior features a silky satin yellow pastel fabric with a decorative trim. There is one extra compartment pocket that holds a compact mirror / coin purse wallet. The tag inside reads "Made in France".
Flaws: The metal frame is slightly bent (The purse still closes very securely.) Small area on front with a few loose beads. Area of discoloration of the beads on the back located at the bottom. Minor area of verdigris dislocation on some beads on the front of the bag. Interior mirror is oxidized and foggy. (Please see photos).
